Bilecik formerly known as "Ertuğrul" is a province in the Marmara Region of our country. More than 80% of the city, which has a population of over 200 thousand, lives in the city. The city was previously known as Belekoma and Agrilion. The city of Bilecik is located on the lands where the Ottoman Empire was founded. Western Anatolian dialect is widely used in the city. Bilecik is an important city with its districts and history. Bozüyük, İnhisar, Pazaryeri, Osmaneli, Söğüt, Gölpazarı and Yenipazar districts.
Bozüyük district dates back to the Phrygian period. After the city became a province, Bozüyük is known as a district and is a production center for the city with many factories. Osmaneli district is a very old settlement. It was home to Thracians, Byzantines and Romans. The district is famous for the annual watermelon festival. Söğüt district, where Ertuğrul Gazi's tomb is located, is the most important tourism center for the city. Söğüt festivals are held in the district every year and there is a large participation from the surrounding provinces.
