Azángaro is a province located in the Puno Region of southeastern Peru, situated in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes. Geographically positioned in the northern part of the Puno Region, Azángaro lies approximately 130 kilometers north of Lake Titicaca and serves as an important administrative and commercial center in this high-altitude area.
