What to Know About Bregenz
Bregenz is in Esperanto Bregenco - the capital of the federal state of Vorarlberg in Austria. It is also a district of the Bregenz district. It is located on the southeastern shore of Lake Constance, specifically on its largest lake, the Obersee. At the beginning of 2013 it had a population of 28,012.
Bregenz Festival The Bregenzer Festspiele is a cultural festival that takes place every year in July and August. For most visitors, the festival's biggest attraction is the game played on the lake, which is the largest stage of its kind in the world. The festival is known for the beauty of Lake Constance's natural backdrop, grand stage arrangements, excellent stage technique and unique acoustics.
There are three stations in Bregenz: Bregenz, Bregenz Hafen and Riedenburg (the last two are used only for regional transport). The city has a regular train connection with Vienna by InterCity and Railjet trains. EuroCity trains from Zurich to Munich also pass through the city.
