The district of Hermagor is an administrative district in the Austrian state of Carinthia. The district of Hermagor covers almost the entire Zilja valley, including its lower part, where the autochthonous Slovene national community traditionally lives, especially in the municipalities of Hermagor - Preseško jezero and Štefan na Ziljji.
The western part of the district of Hermagor extends all the way to Tyrol. The district of Hermagor, together with the districts of Villach-Land, Klagenfurt-Land and Velikovec, is part of the traditionally Slovene-speaking, today bilingual territory of South Carinthia.
