Requena is a province located in the Loreto Region of northeastern Peru, situated in the vast Amazon rainforest basin. Geographically positioned in the western part of Loreto, Requena lies approximately 800 kilometers northeast of Lima and about 160 kilometers southwest of Iquitos, the regional capital.
