Bahrain Postal Codes
If you are filling out a Bahrain address, do not use 00000 unless the website gives you no other choice. Bahrain does have short postal codes, usually 3 or 4 digits, and they sit after the locality name. So the better move is to match the code to the area, especially if the form is for delivery, banking, or anything official.
A realistic address might look like this: Building 145, Road 383, Block 338, Adliya 338, Bahrain. In that kind of address, the block number is doing a lot of the work. For central Manama-style areas, the code often looks like a 3-digit block or district code. For places farther out, the code may be 4 digits, so it is not safe to assume every Bahrain address should use a Manama code.
A soft way to think about it is this: Manama and nearby central areas often use shorter-looking codes such as 3xx; Muharraq and some island areas have their own local numbers; Riffa, Isa Town, Hamad Town, and southern areas may use different 3- or 4-digit codes. That is practical guidance, not an official street map. The exact block or locality should win over guessing.
The UPU addressing guide for Bahrain says postcodes are 3 or 4 digits, placed to the right of the locality name, and that four-digit postcodes use the first two digits to identify the region, with valid postcodes ranging from 1XX to 12XX.
So if you know the block number, use that as your main clue. If the address says “Block 338, Adliya,” 338 is much more useful than typing a random Manama code. If the form rejects 3 digits because it expects a ZIP-style 5-digit number, try the real Bahrain code first, then only use a placeholder if the system is badly designed.
